Solomon Cohen was born in Middlesex, England in 1776, the first of three children born to Levy Barent Cohen. Although it is unknown when and whom Cohen married, he had a daughter, Emily, in 1809 in London. They moved to New York, where Emily married Solomon L. Joseph. Solomon Cohen died in New York in 1864.
