The Levy sisters—Cecilia Eliza and Fanny Emma—pictured here in their teens, were brought up in Charleston, the youngest surviving children of Anna Maria Moses and David Cardoza Levy.

Cecilia would marry Israel Cohen, son of Kitty Etting and Benjamin I. Cohen, from one of the most prominent Jewish families in Baltimore. They would raise their own family in Baltimore, among their seven children: Benjamin, Joshua, Georgie, and Eleanor Septima. \

Fanny married Columbus Moise of Charleston, and they would make their life and raise their six children in New Orleans.
