Fannie Hecht Metzger

The names of Fannie Hecht’s parents have been recorded as Helena and Aias. She was born in Baden and seems to have been the oldest of six children. Fannie immigrated to Baltimore in 1848 and three years later she married Isaac Metzger, a dry goods dealer. Fannie and Isaac lived the rest of their lives in Baltimore and had at least two children. Their daughter Sarah married David Wiesenfeld, the son of fellow German Jewish immigrants, Moses and Betsy Wiesenfeld.
