Hermione Hendricks was one of thirteen children born to FrancesIsaacs and Harmon Hendricks,metallurgist, entrepreneur and early industrialist. When, in 1847,she married Isaac Alfred Tobias, thecouple further linked the Tobias and Hendricks families, alreadyconnected through three previous marriages: FannyTobias and Uriah Hendricks,Harriet Tobias andHenry Hendricks, and Henry Tobias and Roselane Hendricks.Hermione Isaac lived in New York and had five children.
